"Since I can’t directly interfere, there has to be a way that I can indirectly interfere."
A thought had already popped into my mind the moment that I said this, but I had been trying to figure out a different way to approach this.
After all, the method that I thought of wasn’t one that I really wanted to use.
It was a kind of method that was leaving the domain of mortals.
It was a method that encroached on the divine domain.
But other than this method, I really couldn’t think of anything else.
"I have to be careful if this is what I’m about to do. If I’m careless with it, then it’ll throw the entire world into chaos..."
Taking a deep breath, I carefully observed the frozen world.
I still hadn’t stopped the time freeze yet since I had been observing the destruction energy. At the same time, I had been trying to figure out just how far the destruction energy had spread its grasps.
Now, I was looking for those that I could appoint as my representatives.
I was doing the same thing that the gods had done in my world.
Though I certainly wouldn’t give them as much power as they gave me.
I would give them power like how the priests of the various churches received their powers.
I just hoped that it would have been enough to take care of the destruction energy.
After all, I would have to take more drastic measures if it wasn’t enough.
Once I made the decision, I released the time pause and started the world once more.
At this point, the world had reached the industrial revolution and was channeling the power of steam. So to a certain point, technology had already started developing and transport lines were being built.
The world was no longer as contained as it once was as people started traveling to different places.
That meant that as soon as a revelation appeared, it was immediately spread throughout this world.
There was no hesitation from the news outlets to report this matter since it was all from the one religion that everyone believed in.
"Soon, the world will face a disaster that will bring the end of the world."
With this kind of revelation, it really was hard for the people of this world to ignore it.
Of course, there were naturally non believers that thought that this prophecy was nothing more than a prank by someone. There were also those that believed that this was a plot by the government to control them.
But it was hard to deny it when holy magic appeared.
It was only one person at first, but it didn’t take long for others to start gaining the ability to cast holy magic as well.
It seemed like it was something that was only entrusted to those that were a part of the religion. It seemed like it was something that was only entrusted to those that had complete faith in the gods.
Once this holy magic appeared, it really was hard for them to deny the existence of the god that they worshipped.
In an instant, the religious scene of this world completely changed.
After all, the existence of god had been proven.
There were many that held ceremonies in an attempt to contact me, but I didn’t respond at all to them.
It wasn’t as if I could make direct contact with them for long.
Having too much direct contact would be harmful to this world rather than helping it.
Once people became dependent on god, then they would start doing things that weren’t considered rational.
So while there was renewed faith, it didn’t actually change the world that much.
Other than the fact that everyone wanted to know just what their god had meant by ’disaster’.
This was the kind of prophecy that just couldn’t be ignored, especially if it led to the god giving them this kind of power.
Which was why the governments of the world worked together to start searching for this disaster. They put aside everything that had split them in the past and worked together to search for this prophesied disaster.
It was just like how the different races of the continent had started working together to face the forces of Destruction.
Though I did have a heavy heart seeing this.
"By encouraging them like this, I’m actually speeding up their encounter with the forces of Destruction. If I didn’t say anything, then they wouldn’t have met the forces of Destruction that soon."
I was having a different effect on this world, one that wasn’t certain whether it would be a good thing or a bad thing.
But in the end, I had already made this decision and I would see it through to the end.
As time passed, it didn’t take long for the humans of this world to encounter the destruction energy.
The destruction energy had been hiding under the ground, but it was still found with the effort of the people of this world.
That included those that received holy magic.
Since they had received the power of holy magic, it meant that they were more sensitive to things like this. They were able to guide the ones that had been searching to where the destruction energy had been hiding.
The moment that the destruction energy was found, it lashed out at the ones that had found it.
It didn’t take long for them to realize that the only thing that they could do against this destruction energy was use holy magic against it. Everything else seemed to be swallowed by the destruction energy when it made contact.
Once they realized this, they knew that this was the ’disaster’ that god had foretold.
They also realized that this was the reason why god had given them this power in the first place.
Without it, they wouldn’t have been able to do anything against this ’disaster’.
"Can we survive this though?"
That was the thought that was on everyone’s mind when they saw the destruction energy.
