The entire Lin clan was in chaos. The news of six great factions being attacked by Yohan and his partners spread like wildfire. The people of the clan were confused and shocked to their very core, knowing Yohan was killing his own clansmen; everyone feared for their lives, knowing his personality.
It had been only three days since Yohan had expelled a large number of people from the rivershore City. After that massive migration, the Rivershore City lost one-fourth of its population.
The massive crowd started gathering right in front of the matriarch’s manor. The people of the Lin clan wanted answers. Most of them were even convinced that the Jasmine lady of the Poison Valley was behind all of this madness; Yohan was simply doing her bidding in order to favor her people so they can take their land and home.
The people of lin clan were feared for the worst, afterall the six great factions had stood for centuries; they were the very pillars of the Lin clan. If Yohan ended up destroying them, then there would be no more Lin clan. People were uncertain about their future inside the clan; not only he was unpredictable, but he was insane. Wherever he goes, destruction follows: first, the Hundred Poison Valley; second, the destruction of Feng clan; third, the merger of Xian clan; and fourth, the annihilation of the Nicole clan. He was the reason behind all that madness and destruction.
A figure of an old man could be seen standing in the sky, looking at the ground where a massive crowd had gathered. Right next to that old man stood a beautiful lady who was in blue attire, her eyes deep blue, dazzling in the night sky.
"What in the world is happening inside the clan?" Elder Song whispered as he looked at the ground, where a massive crowd was trying to break through the soldiers who were guarding the matriarch’s manor. Elder Song was confused; earlier, after noticing the commotion, he had come running to this place in order to help Yohan.
"Father, are you sure you want to get involved in the Lin clan’s mess? I know you share a great relation with Elder Lin, but you can’t trust Yohan; he is infamous for his deeds!" the young lady spoke, her beautiful face filled with concern regarding her father’s decision to get involved with the Lin clan’s internal conflict.
Seeing that concerned look on his daughter’s face, Elder Song simply smiled.
"You don’t have to judge him just because of those nasty rumors... it’s been two years since I first met him. Elder Lin brought him to our shop. That day, I witnessed something extraordinary, something great..." Elder Song muttered as he remembered him making a soul contract with that cursed weapon. Thinking about that particular moment, Elder Song felt goosebumps all over his body. After that very day, Yohan became pretty famous; not only did he get acquainted with Lady Evelyn, but he also became the partner of her disciples.
"I wonder what you and those ladies saw in him. He is just a dual cultivator, a troublemaker... wherever he goes, only destruction follows!" the lady spoke in annoyance, seeing those expressions on Elder Song’s face.
"My beautiful daughter, no matter what you say, it’s already decided. He will be an ideal match for you... you just have to win his heart and become one of his women!" Elder Song exclaimed. The moment those words escaped from his mouth, the lady let out a sigh in a defeated manner.
This lady was Elder Song’s eldest daughter, Genelia, a Qi cultivator of the True Spirit Soul Realm. Thanks to Elder Song’s immense wealth and his connections, she had left the Northern Region along with her sisters and became one of the rising stars of the Kingdom, reaching the True Spirit Soul Realm in just twenty-two years. "I have no interest in tying myself to a man that I don’t know. Apart from that, he is a dual cultivator. No matter what you say, I am not going to give my heart and body to someone who has multiple partners!" Genelia exclaimed, clearly annoyed by her father’s obsession that he had toward Yohan. Moreover, she couldn’t believe those ridiculous rumors regarding Yohan being someone who had reached the Earth Realm—a youngest cultivator who killed a minister of the royal family on his own. The more ridiculous things she heard were that the minister he killed was rumored to be a late Earth Realm cultivator.
"Those rumors are baseless. If he is that special and powerful, then why does no one know about him outside the Northern Region? Why is his existence hidden? I even doubt the rumors regarding Lady Evelyn’s disciples being his partners—just a bunch of bullshit, nothing else!" Genelia looked at Elder Song with a serious gaze.
Elder Song turned silent, hearing his daughter. Indeed, he was also confused as to why no one knew about Yohan. "I am Song, and this one is my daughter. We are Elder Lin’s acquaintances. I am just here to help Master Yohan," Elder Song responded in a polite manner, not daring to offend the woman right before them.
The moment those words escaped from Elder Song’s mouth, the frightening, crushing aura lifted from their bodies. Both Elder Song and his daughter heaved a sigh of relief.
"Ah, so you know Yohan and Grandpa Lin... well, I thought some rats were trying to sneak in!" Athena casually stated, taking both Genelia and Elder Song by surprise; the killing intent and that frightening aura were all gone, replaced by calmness.
Elder Song slightly tilted his head and finally took a good look at that old man whom this mysterious lady was holding. His heart nearly sank, realizing it was one of the grand elders of the Lin clan, the leader of the information pavilion.
